Hospitalisation after delivery date resulting from complications – Give an example

Immediate hospitalisation – say within a month and in case the complication is related to Maternity or because of maternity – it will be paid within the limits of maternity and within preand post natal limits only. In case pre post natal coverage is not there – then these complications related tomaternity will not be paid. E.g – In case of normal delivery – Mother catches a UTI or any other complication arising due to maternity, then it will be covered if post natal coverages are there in thepolicy. Similarly in case of C Section deliveries- where sutures develop infections, it will be covered only if post natal coverages are there.
